This charcoal drawing, White Barn on the Bluff Road,
is based on photographs I had taken the winter of 2006. It had been a beautiful day with full sun until I discovered this rustic old barn. Just as I started to look around for a place to make a few sketches, clouds moved in turning the afternoon gray and cold. I settled on taking a few reference photographs. Upon arriving home that evening, I made this charcoal study using my memories and photographs as reference. The barn is located south of St. Louis in the Mississippi River Valley on the Illinois side. Purchase of Prints on Fine Art America is for decor use only.
